Peacepainting on "Alberthaugen school" in Bodø by Vibeke Steinsholm

What a fabulous group of committed and up-to-date young people and teachers who help young people to deal with a complicated world, war and peace: what is conflict, where and why is there war…

“Peace in the world? We see the peace sign in space because there is peace there. Then you see the earth in space that has broken the rule. It is cold and peaceful. I think that there should be peace in the world.” (pupil at the school)

Exhibition at Kilden Cultural House in Kristiansand

see more here…

In week 44, we had workshops with a total of 120 pupils aged 6-16 at the school in Kristiansand which receives refugees in the first instance before they are moved to the ordinary Norwegian school.

A strong but at the same time joyful opening of the exhibition where all the pupils were represented at Kilden cultural center took place on Tuesday 7 November. Many have since had the pleasure of seeing and reading the messages from the many refugee children in a context of equality and peace. Strong messages from people who are hard hit by a lack of equality.

Messages that can provide reflection and reminder in viewers who gain perspective on what life and equality are about.
