We have had three projects in Bulgaria.
Orphanage in Dolna Banaya
23.-29th of March 2015
Partner organisation: Foundation Avocado
Sponsored by: EEA Grants
During this project, we came to a small city in Bulgaria called Dolna Banaya.
Via our partner Foundation Avocado, we were able to have painting workshops at an orphanage in Dolna Banaya.
The aim was to lift the voices of the children in the orphanage, and also give them opportunities for creative expression.
After the workshops, the paintings that the children agreed to donate were exhibited and sold at an auction in Sofia. The money was used to create a fund for the children in the orphanage to pay for their higher education after the age of 18.

Auction in Sofia
Our Partner organisation Foundation Avocado organised the auction of the paintings. They hired the Bulgarian celebrity Vladimir Ampov (Vladi Vargala) to host the auction.
The children who made the paintings were all present during the auction and it was a wonderful event.
The money from the auctioned paintings were used to establish fund for the children at the orphanage which will fund their higher education after leaving the orphanage.
Improving hundreds
of kindergartens
in Bulgaria
28th of November - 4th of December 2015
Partner organisations: Ruse Municipality ( Bulgaria), Soroptimists club (Norway)
Sponsored by: EEA Grants
As part of a large project to improve a large number of kindergartens in Bulgaria, we were invited to introduce our method.
The project was named “Equal Access of Children at Risk to Preschool Preparedness and Intercultural Education through innovative Training, Integrated Approach and Attractive Conditions in the Kindergartens in Ruse Municipality”.
This would involve increasing cultural activities, giving higher support to children with special needs and improving the physical kindergartens themselves.
Painting festival in Sofia
25.-26th of July 2015
Partner organisation: Association SPOC (Bulgaria)
Sponsored by: EEA Grants
Our partner organisation Association SPOC initiated to create an Intuitive Painting Festival for Peace and Equality in Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia.
Peacepainting sent several participants (3 children and 7 adolescents) and 2 Peacepainting representatives to attend the festival.
The aim of the festival was to involve immigrants who have come to Bulgaria to participate in the workshops and different interactive activities were conducted.
The inclusion of children and adolescents from different communities and nationalities in this joint activity (intuitive painting) was aimed to contribute to the understanding for beauty and unity in the diversity. This was aimed to increase tolerance, equality and cohesion between different peoples and nations.
In addition to the paintings created at the festival, Peacepainting had brought paintings from all over the world. Together the paintings were on display at the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Police in Sofia for three months.
