On the 7th and 8th of June 2022, we held Peacepainting workshops in collaboration with Nordkappmuseet and Bodø2024 in Honningsvåg in the North of Norway. The participants in this part 2 were 7 students from Nordkapp Cultural School. Read about part 1 here.
Workshop Day 2, Nordkappmuseet
The children came straight from school and ate their packed lunches. Since these were participants in the Norwegian Cultural School, they were used to working with aesthetic expressions, but none of the them had worked with acrylic paint in such a large format before. The children enjoyed painting. They were motivated, reflective, present and took their work seriously.
The participants’ voices and messages through these paintings created in collaboration with Nordkappmuseet and Bodø2024 will be exhibited at Nordkappmuseet the whole summer 2022.
